So I got all back into updating and then along came Twitter...thank you twitter, balk balk! Well, if ever a reason to update its a day like today. Dannys oldest brother is in town for some sort of hockey thing and by in town I mean he's in the other brothers town, which is tampa and about 5 hours away. Its old man foot hockey, I mean its not called foot hockey, I think its called street hockey but I know its hockey without any sort of skates. Its kinda cool cause it gives me a chance to just hang out on the side line just with my music on my phone and like I said, its the perfect time to update the ol livejournal. The bad part is that I would like to see my cousin that lives here and what other time would I be able to see her but there probably won't be a chance for me to break away. Also, I'm really lamenting the fact that I don't have more music on my phone.

So this past weekend we went to help my brother linlaw unpack his truck into a storage unit. Well, to our surprise Eric is now probably the thinnest that either of us has seen him (according to Dan its been since HS that he's looked this thin). Now, its a liittle weird, he's just the type of guy who looks more natural being a little meaty, but I'm so happy for him. I mean, he had developed diabaeties and just gotten too heavy, but he looks great and I've decided to try out the thing that helped him. Its called the New Lifestyle diet and its more like a liquid diet with a couple things like bars and what not. I don't have the flow do do the whole sabang right now so we went to Publix this morning to get some equivilents to get us going. I think the biggest idea of this diet is to eat every 2 hours to get your matabolism up. So you get 7 tiny meals a day. 2 sugar free puddings, 2 shakes, 2 soup like meals and a bar (we're going with Luna cause it fits the nutritional value best!). I think the fact that we've gone with more water lately will be great for us too. I've got my fingers crossed! We'll see. :)

So, had a great weekend with my sister up in Palm Bay (about 2 hours north of us) and it was a heck of a lot of fun. We have a really good relationship. When we hang out we just chill and shop and watch tv and what not, but it's always so fun cause we dont get to see each other a lot. I wish she could make it down here to see the new crib, but alas, her car is not one to take such a long trip. We'll see. And since I was so down about coming home (Sunday night means that Monday morning is close and leaving my sister after such a wonderful weekend) when I got home I decided that I was sick and tired of not recycling so I organized a recycle area and cleaned out the fridge. I hate cleaning out the fridge but after it's done the whole kitchen is so much easier to straighten up. Then after the show I'll have to make the lunches for Alexa for our last week with her and hopefully spend some time with the family. I'm glad that I finally got the recycling going becaues just from today, just from what I got out of what I was cleaing up today, the plastic and the cardboard is pretty filled up due to boxes of this and that and all of the bottled water we've been going through. I'm tired but I feel better I guess. Blah, bring on Monday.

I hate being an adult sometimes.

Charlie and the Rescue, or The Story of the Curious Jessica.
Well, Jay got me remembering waaay back in the day when I rescued my kitty, Charlie, from the human society (way back in Febuary of this year :)
My friend Lynette told me about how sad that she was cause she wanted to get a cat from the humane society but they wouldn't let her cause she lives in an apartment and she would uve had to get written consent, and although they don't really care where she lives (she already has one cat from a friends litter) its not like they would uv given her a letter that says it or anything. So she was telling me that she asked her mother in law to do it for her and she not only saod no, but was like no way. I was surprised and told her that I would do it for her. We just moved into.a house and there was no issue there so one Saturday, off we went to the HS. When we got there it was sooo cute and sad. Some of the animals were just too happy to see us to care about the fact that they were all cooped up in tiny cages with no one to over love them. So we started the hunt. Well guess what ladies, we have a special today, its buy one get one free (which seems so weird for somthing that is alive, but that struck a cord with Lynette, that way we could both pay for 1/2 and both get one. Well I would LOVE a cat, but Dan is usually allergic (but it seems to be touch and go) and we just moved into the house and blah balh, so I keep an open mind. But then I see a cat named Daisy, who was soooooo loveable in her cage! She came up to us and rubbed all over the glass. OMGosh, she just seemed sooooo loveable, ehich is what I wanted from a cat. So I asked to see her. Lynetted asked for a cat named Srgt Pepper, who was an orange stripped cat, who turns out to look EXACTLY like an orange version of her other cat. The funny thing about Pepper though, is when she got him to hold he was so excited he stared to drool all over her. Ot was like cute and a little tiny bit gross, but he was soo loveable that Lynette had her pick. So when we got Daisy I was pretty stoked! I thought she was gonna be at least as loveable as Pepper but she ended up being too scared. I held her for a minute and she was gripping me with death claws...so then she went to Lynette and pee'd all over her arm. It was ubber gross and freaking hysterical!!! We almost pee'd our pants laughing so hard which was not good for poor Miss Daisy :( so I figured that it wasn't my day to get a cat (by this time I had already pleaded with dan via phone to be able to bring one home, which he gave into with a damn promise of a lifetime of me cleaning out the litter...booo). So I was ready to just leave with Lynettes cat but a girl there was like, can I just show you another cat? So she brought us Velvet, a gray and white tuxedo cat (think Tom from Tom and Jerry) who was very mellow, but didn't mind being held. A fixed male 1 year old who had a cold (the cat fluid trifecta for Lynette, he sneezed on her like 3 times!) I'll take him! So Lynette changed Srgt Peppers name to Butters, and since Velvet had no color and he stared off like a tramp we named him Charlie after Charlie Chaplin. I love that dumb cat and Dan loves him too. Sometimes I hear him petting him and saying, Oh Charlie, I love you, and then I'll peek my head in and Dan will then switch to, stupid cat! Ha ha! And that's how we got Charlie, as a buy one get one free :)

There is something that. Want to put in my journal that happened last August, so that would have been August 2008. Stacy had been wanting to go to Orlando for a while, not for the typical theam park vacation, but so that we could all go to I-Bar. I-Bar, or Independance Bar, was a place that Dan found for one of our weekend trips to Orlando and we were vlown away. Unlike RSC in West Palm this place is always awesome. We've never gone and been disappointed ever. The only bad thing is the whole freaking city closes down at 2am but other then that its amazing. Ever since I first told Stacy about it she,d been wanting to take a trip there all together. One time before then me, Steff, Beck and Dan (with Beccas friend) took a trip out there and the whole thing was awesome, heck, even the car ride out had us in stitches! So finally Stacy called us all up and planned a night in Orlando. It was Dan and I, Becca, Stacy and Shane and Shanna. Stacy got the hotel and we all paid a portion. We were able to take Stacy's big ass van and we swung by Palm Bay on the way to pick up Becca. When we got there the hotel was really nice and it was literally up the road from the club. We got there hung out and headed to the club shortly after. It was amazing. This club even plays the videos on the wall while you dance so if you're not into dancing that much you are still entertained. We pretty much closed the place down and it was back to the hotel where we crashed and woke up to an amazing breakfast free with the room. Not only was there the typical continential stuff but there was a fella there making omlates and the best omlates are the free kind! Then it was some pool time and then time to head back down. We hit a couple of outlet stores along the way and I know it doesn't seem like the day to remember but being with my friends at a place that was awesome was one for the records! I love my friends!!

Yesterday was pretty cool! We went and saw Bruno (I had to go back and delete Borat cause that's what I kept calling it). It was no where near as funny as Borat was, it was just plain awrkward most of the time. I mean I'm not one to agree with people who want to boycot art like movies that they say are offending a certain group (down with censoring) but I tell you what, if I were gay I might have an issue with this one! Instead of being clever it was just trying to gross you out. I will say this, the funniest part is when he goes to boot camp, that cracked me up but the rest of it was just too over the top. Then we saw Harry Potter. I feel bad cause I'm just not into it anymore. I mean there were some really neat parts like when Harry and Dumbledor go to find that necklace. That whole scene was very clever and suspensful, but all the silly love things going on and my very least favorite part about Snape has really made me unhappy with it. It was a sight to see, don't get me wrong. The special effects were amazing and I'm sure there are things that would made the story better if there was more time available but all in all not bad.
What I really want to talk about is Spike Lee's new movie coming this fall, Where the Wild Things Are. HOLY CRAP it looks amazing!!! The preview has me wanting more! I mean, I almost missed it cause I thought it was The Road, which I'm trying to avoid like the new Scorese film Shutter Island, but 1/2 way thru Dan said, hey dummy, its okay, its not The Road...then I got to see the whole thing again with HP so that made me happy! I'm sad cause The Hurt Locker is not down here yet and neither is 500 Days of Summer :( Oh well, guess it will have to be Moon today and maybe Whatever Works.

Well, my perfume project didnt pan out. The main problem is that the perfumes do not have an easy way to apply it and therefore the fragrance does not last and the thing I like about perfume is being able to smell it myself! So, I will keep trying them, but here and there. So far the only real contender was the Cucumber Mint. I might order that in bath products and hand sanitizer and what not.
Now, enter my newest obsession. Make-up. Now, sure, I've always been a fan of make-up, maybe one of those in-between girls. I never ever used anything like foundation, but I try to do my eyes every day. Well, there is this gal at work who does her make up amazingly and one day I told her so. That opened up a can of YouTube worms and I've been hooked ever since. There are a few girls on YouTube, well, actually, more then a few, who do make-up tutorials and they are flippin' great! Theres one gal, makeupgeektv who is beautiful and so good, and it's made me really get into the whole make up thing. I've only started with eyes so far, taking eyeshadow to the next level but the past couple of days I've had my eye on the whole flawless skin thing. The problem is that it seems very hard to match your skin tone and how many gals out there do you see with the worst blend into the neck where it looks like they are wearing a tan mask? Yuck. And that caked on look, blah! Well, the gal at work wears all that face stuff and you would NEVER know cause she's a) matched her skin tone so well, and b) doesnt wear a lot. I recently ordered some eye stuff from www.CoastalScents.com and I got them today and almost had the big O. The colors, oh the colors! I got 2 sets of 88 colors, one set is just regular and the other set is shimmery. 88 COLORS in 2 differnt sets!! ARE YOU DYING YET!! LOL!
On another note, it is the middle of our 2nd week with Alexa. Oh July, how I dred you because I have to share my husband, but how I end up loving you because that's not what ends up happening. I always think, great, my alone time with Dan is going to be compromised and Alexa is going to bogart him but what ends up happening is that we are this threesome family and we all share each other. She helps me cook, or more like hangs out with me while I do. I cook more cause I want her to get good meals in. We still do the show, but it's good because she showers and watches some tv and just chills. I always forget how easy it is having her around. It's not hard at all. I mean, granted, she is going to be 11 now so there's not a lot to do, but I always think it's going to be so much to do, but now that we have 2 cars its really quite easy! Dan or I bring her to camp in the AM, then I get to work late and Dan picks her up. She was having a hard time of camp cause of one girl, but she learned that all she needed to do was choose another group to play and hang out with and she's fine. She's a good kid! I feel bad though cause since April is a pain with time, Dan always has to give up his time with Alexa for his mom and she asked if she could have her next week. Begrudengly, Dan and I agreed. I think Dan's going to ask April for another week, but I'm sure she'll say no. I mean, she likes to say, "You never take her extra" but every single solitary time we ask her she says no..."We have plans". Then when we get Alexa again we say, so did you have fun, what did you do? and 9 times out of 10 Alexa says, we didnt do anything. Just hung out home all weekend. Plans smlans! Sharing a daughter with a woman you cannot stand stinks. Anyway, July is going good and maybe we could continue that for a little bit after.

Goodness. What a fun day today...actually, it started yesterday! I had everyone over for Shannas birthday dinner and it was a total success. The guests were Shanna of course, her sister Melissa and her sisters girlfriend Casey (who has an awesome Aulstrailian accent). Shannas brother Roy, Stacy and Shane. And the kids were Alexa, Melissas 2 Ellen and Chris (really amazing kids), Savanna, Shaney and Maddy. Dinner was good but unfortunatlly Dan is sick and spent the entire night in bed. Then today we all went to a cute little water park out near the fair grounds in west palm called Cylipso Bay. It was really fun, I mean, when ever its a group of people its just fun as all heck. Dan sat that out as well. Not only cause of not feeling well but the chlorine is just not good for him. We were there from 11:00 to about a 1/4 to 6. Its funny cause there was only a small lazy river, 2 slides, a diving pool and a kiddy play ground pool, but we were totally entertained. I have to say it was the company. All the kids were great and had a really great time. Although, I drenched myself in SPF I still fried like a chicken nugget! Amy joined us for a couple hours and Shanes nephew and neices were there too so it was a full fleged group. Good times, good times :)
I'm sad that Stacy is going back to South Carolina but she said she'll be back soon, probably next month. That makes me happy.

Today is bitter sweet. Sweet cause we have Alexa and I always forget how awesome it is to have her during the week. I went food shopping last night and got everything for lunches and dinners. Having her makes me a better house person cause I keep house better and I make dinners and lunches. And it so simple getting her ready and out...I always forget that. It just makes me wish we had her all of the time ya know. I mean when you have her during the week its all just routine, things are very cool, its the weekends that are harder. We found this perfect little camp for her up the road which is all about working on her character. It sounds a little funny but it is this single father (of a daughter, which is cool) who had a karate school and that was too specific so he came up with this character building camp which will sooo help Alexa! She can be a little shy sometimes and I think this will help. Also, I forgot to try out a perfume this moening so no Perfume Project for today. Bummer. Now for the bitter part...I woke up with a bad headache this morning and I've tried a few things that aren't working. Advil, breakfast, coffee and its pretty much still there. Hopefully it will finish up soon and be gone. Things to do tonight...get the child, make dinner, do laundry, the show and then me time...oh yeah baby!

So for the 4th I decided to go with Eat it Raw, described by valerie as such: A sweet, yet fresh lightly fruity fragrance. Melons, peaches, apples, pears and more. When I first put it on I was overwelhmed with a watermelon fragrance, but as the day went on it evened out. I fear that I did not give it the best chance though with it being an outside day. I must of sweat it out a lot faster then I would have if I was just working inside in my meat-locker office. Speaking of meat locker, we watched Rocky yesterday on TCM. I didnt realize that the fight took place on the 4th of July, no wonder Apolo Creed was all American Flagged out.
Yesterday was another amazingly wonderful day. We went to my friends house for a get together and I say get together instead of BBQ because she didnt BBQ anything cause she didnt have one, so I made my signature cocktail weenies that I wrap in bacon and bake with brown sugar...did I get any...NO! They were gone before I had time to plate them! Then Dan and I headed home with the intentions on going home to clean up and do some laundry, but on our way Dan said to me, "Ya know, the AWESOMEist theater in West Palm is playing Public Enemys in about an hour..." Well, we've GOT to take advantage of THAT. Since we had some time to kill before hand I was allowd to go into Sephora, which was probably a bad idea on Dans part because since I'm in this eye shadow kick I spend WAAAAAY too much money. Oh well, my motto is a quote from good old Sheryl Crowe...If it makes you happy, it cant be that bad! The movie was great, but that digial has got to go! I mean, this movie had potention to be the most beautifully made movie of the year in my opinion, but it just looked weird and the colors were too sharp. I like my movie with a bit of soft film quality to it. Other wise the movie that Dan had to practly drag me too was really good. We'll talk more about it on the show tonight :)
And then when we got home we finally watched the rest of Idiots Delight with Clark Gable and Norma Shear. It was Oooookay. 1st and 2nd acter were waaaaay better then the 3rd and this one was great because it had 2 endings, one that was more solmn for the world which was at war at the time, and one that was strangly upbeat for America. After it was over and then over again I had a little question mark over my head. Oh well, they cant all be jems!
Now I'm going to nudge Dan up so we can go to The Clock and maybe catch another movie before we have to get Alexa. We've got her for July and although I'm looking forward to it, I want to spend all the alone Dan time I have with him. :)

Well, normal people are off but as it turns out not us garbage people. I mean, we still get paid for the holiday, which means that my check will have 6 days instead of 5 but if I wanted to have off today I was supposed to have requested it, which is just a little weird to me. But really I don't mind too much, I mean, it will be an easy day, bagels for breakfast and pizza for lunch and that extra day of work will pay for 2 weeks of day care for Alexa this month (well almost if you take out taxes!). Also, today is my 2nd day of The Perfume Project which I'm lovin. The only problem is this...they are all on sample bottles with no real way of applying them so I keep getting creative...today I used an old sample sprayer but the new stuff is an oil base so its too thick for the nozzel and comes out in a line! I guess I'll have to stick to just tipping it on my wrists and rubbing everywhere else.
Today is Vanilla Mint and although I was happy to try this one I'm a little let down. Have you ever tried that vanilla flavored Crest that they came out with a few years back? Now, I loved that toothpaste, its probably the best kind out there (if it still is) but now its ruined this scent! I feel like I smell like Vanilla Crest! Valerie's description...Warm vanillas lightly accented with cool garden mint. Yeah it is! Maybe the mint will wear down through out the day and maybe it grows on me.
And one more note...TCM is showing the 39 of 39. 1939 is considered to be the best year for movies. You had Wizard of Oz, Gone With the Wind, Mr Smith Goes to Washington, The Women and so many others. We were watching Norma Shearer in Idiots Delight but we had to leave for work! I was lovin Norma with her Platinum blonde hair! And Clark Gable is always just soooo cool. Needless to say I was very tempted to just stay home and finish it but I just recorded it instead. I can't wait to see more of 1939!

I tell you what, music has always been such a big part of my life...I mean, I would have told you before that I would rather have music on then TV and I'm still the one who utilizes the DirecTV for the XM music stations more then anyone here, and it's cool too because since it's hooked up to the surround sound, you can just turn the TV off and have the music play over the speakers. So, I was reading back in my journal, which was funny cause it seems the only thing I ever talked about was working working and being poor (not much has changed, but now I dont bitch about it as much, and I think I have less of a potty mouth too, LOL), and I realized that a lot of my subject titles were song lyrics So, now Ive gotten into ringtones, and it's brought up a lot of things, like, man, I sure dont have a lot of people in my phone to give cute little ringtones too, and the few people that I do have Im having so much trouble picking one song!! I mean, take for instance a friend of mine Madonna. Now tell me that this is not ringtone GOLD, but WHAT TO CHOOSE??!! Dan was saying that the 4 Minutes to Save the World would be good cause you have Justin Timberlake saying "Madonna" a whole bunch of times, but I found this really cool mega mix on PlayList.com that has her saying, "Im your worst nightmare" and then it goes into Express Yourself, which is perfect for Madonna! But I've decided to take the awesome retro route and go with The Beatles Lady Madonna cause it's such a good song. Also, my sister Stephanie is a big Elton John fan and I got a bit of Tiny Dancer, which I love, but then I found a Velvet Underground song called Stephanie Says, which is one of the most adorable songs I have ever heard...Then I was thinking that if I was to go by personality I would get some sound clips of Johnny 5 saying his silly Stephanie quotes..."No Disasemble Stephanie!!" what's a girl to do??? Rebecca, my green day fanatic sister was easy cause that new green day song 21 Guns is REALLY good and I first heard it at her house not too long ago...its the bomb. he he. Then Stacy, I was thinking of taking lots of music clips cause the name Stacy is in a lot lately...They call me Stacy, that's not my name...Come on to me call me Stacy...and there is more, but I found a song called Stacy's Mom (has got it going on) which is cute, but then I would have to have it be Stacy's moms house...but then I could do a Depeche Mode song for her since she LOVES them...I JUST DONT KNOW!!! I did find the 100% perfect song for Dan...It's a remake of The Beatles Two of Us done by Aimee Mann and Michael Penn from the I Am Sam soundtrack...it is the exact definition of Dan and I...just enjoying each other, doing stuff. Plus, it's awesome Aimee Mann and Michael Penn, how could you go wrong with that??? At least I've got a couple down..Decisions Decisions!!! Oh and my main ring is Jessica by The Allman Brothers....I think that fits :)

So I've been wearing "Champagne Cocktail" all day today and I have to say that I can get a sence of simliarness from my dSquared2 She Wood, which I really like, but it seems to be missing something, not that I'm looking for a knock off anyway! I like it and the description that Valerie has is: YSL type...notes included are nectarine, anise, otto rose, blue rose, lychee, oakmoss, peach and vetiver. I def get a sence of the oakmoss, and the other scents are there too. Hmmmm, it seems to be growing on me as I type! So far so good with my little experiment! I think the rose in it reminds me of my step grandmother on my mothers side.

Okay, so I've finally decided that I am in search for The Jessica Scent. I know, I know, I have like a million perfumes that I've HAD to have at one point or another, but really, after I get them I realize that they arent necessarily The Jessica Scent. Out of all the perfumes I have...Gwen Stefani - Lil Angel (nice, but a bit perfume-y/slight alcohol-ish); Gwen Stefani - L (too sharp, like a musk but a really really clean smelling musk); Nina Ricci - Nina (its in a bottle that looks like a glass red apple with silver leaves and everything..that should let you know it's pretty sweet smelling); Hugo Boss - XX (light and sweet and not perfume smelling...its hard to describe, but it's wonderful, probably my favorite of all of my perfumes); Este Lauder - Pleasures - Delight (I love this because it's real sweet with a hint of patchouli in the background, done really well); Este Lauder - Pleasures - Exotic (I would classify this with the GS - L...slightly musky and very clean smelling); Jessica Simpson - Fancy (this one is so sweet smelling that my teeth hurt when I wear it, but I love me some sweet smells!); True Religion (I had gotten a sample of this and liked it okay, but thoughout the day I FELL IN LOVE with it); Juicy Couture - Juicy (I HAD to have this one, but now it's just TOO strongly sweet to me...although, the new Viva La Juicey has me salvating!); Lavanilla - Vanilla Grapefruit (this would be The Jessica Scent, if it just lasted past the car ride to work!); Vera Wang - Princess (another nice smelling perfume that doesnt last past the car ride); dSquared2 - She Wood (my first introduction to the "woodsy" smelling perfume...I LOVE IT, but it too doesnt last very long); Aquolina - Pink Sugar (a standard favorite of all girls..I even have the hair mist just to double up on the wonderful smell) I wouldnt call any of them THE Jessica Scent.
Now, I've learned from things like, True Religion, She Wood and Fracas (no, that ones not listed cause even though I love it, no body around me ever does :sad face here:) that even though I might not like a perfume when I smell it, putting it on and having it mix with your body scent (yes, scent, no odor!) throughout the day is not only a good idea, it's Down Right NECESSARY! I mean, take Diesel Fuel for Life. This perfume is like patchouli, you either love it or you hate it. It's very earthy smelling and when I first tried it on at a department store I nearly knocked myself out...but quite literally as time went on, I just fell in like and then in love with it (another perfume that I dont have due to abiding to others around me). So I've decided to take on The Perfume Project.
One day, while looking around ebay for a knock off version of a perfume I wanted (Flowerbomb, probably the most amazing perfume in the world, but waaaaay pricy!) I found a gal named Valerie and her product line of Valeries Uncommon Scents. I ordered the Flowerbomb knockoff and was floored by the right-on-ness of the scent (so much so that it's become the Xmas gift expectation of all my girlfriends!). I decided to try out some other scents and I have never been let down. Whether it's a designer knock off or just a description of something that sounds good, she's never steared me wrong. I've got little bottles all around just in case I find myself needing that extra wonderful last minute pick me up. So I was thinking, just because a perfume is backed by some designer or some celebrity, does not mean it's the only good perfume out there. So I pulled up good old www.valeriesuncommonscents.com, went right to the Scent Description sheet and picked 20 of her $1 vials to try out. I ordered them, Sunday I think, and today, Wednesday, they were waiting for me in my mailbox. Hooray!
So I've sat down and smelled every one of them with my coffee to wash the palet, and I will be wearing 1 every single day for the next 20 days. This way, maybe I can find the perfect scent like finding a diamond in the rough. I've already started with one called "Girl Talk" Description: Fresh & Clean w/ a well balanced blend of sparkling citrus & basil. Top notes of ozone, citrus, fresh floral, floral berry, apple, & pineapple. mid notes of gardenia, rose, juniper berry & peach. Musk at the base.
I like it okay so far, not blown away or anything. The description fits it well, but I wish I would get some of that fruit smell on top...it pretty much just smells clean, and how can you go wrong with clean?! I cant wait to see if I've got The Jessica Scent some where in my little tray of new perfumes to try. I've got my fingers crossed!

2006 Was a long time ago. So much has changed.
Sames: Still in South Florida, although now Dan and I are in South West Palm Beach...West Boca to be exact. We bought a house out there this past February and we got a good little deal on a pretty decent sized place. Still working, but I'm not at Dyno anymore. I now work for Waste Management doing pretty much the same thing, telling the Sales team how they are doing. The show I last posted about is still going, and it will be 3 years in July. Sunday to Thursday (I need my Friday and Saturday nights OFF) night from 8 to 9 EST. Listen to me and Dan talk about movies, television and other such nonsense. www.TalkRadioX.com. Alexa is still doing the every other weekend thing, although I don't know if she was living so far away at the time of my last postings.
I've really wanted to start blogging again, really really badly. I mean, I've gotten into twitter (internjessica) because it's so much easier to just twit then to post a big old blog, but I've been reading a couple of blogs scattered around the net recently and it's made me want to be able to post stuff. Stuff about what I've been doing on my creative side, what we've been doing as a couple/on-air personalities. Stuff going on with being a new home owner (decorating is NOT as easy as the shows make it seam...well, maybe if I had a carpenter and a painting team!). About movies I've seen and what I think of them (I always seem to write so much better then I talk), books I've read and things I've done. Thanks to Chris I think I might have been bit by my old livejournal bug again. Thanks big guy!

Subject:Comic Book Guy- Worst Day Ever!
Security:Public

So yesterday was probably my worst day (our) in a very very long time. Actually, though, it started Friday.
So there is this guy at my job who has invented "Hat Light". Its this gay baseball cap that has a little light in it...of course you can check it out for yourself at HatLight.com. This thing blows up on QVC. I was thinking...okay.
So This guy comes to me and says, listen, I know Dan isnt working and you guys could use the extra cash, so get some of these hats from my partner up 2 hours away and then come down here to sell them at the Swap Shop. I'll pay for expenses and then if you sell all 1300 it will make us 8K which I will give you 2K. 2,000 for a days work? Awesome. We rent a Uhaul ($230 and $48 to fill back up afterwords) we drive up there, drive back all Friday night, got home about 12:30am. Woke up at 5:15 am, got to the damn Swap Shop (which is a place where everyone brings there junk to sell to others) set up and waited from 6am to 12noon. And another note, this is all outside in the hot florida sun. So we sold 4 hats. We sold 2 hats to 2 different people, one was a person who bought stuff from QVC all the time. This was BUST-O. The funny thing is that I didnt even think it would be. It didnt occur to me that we would sell only 4 hats. If you would have asked me, what do you think the least amount of hats you would have sold would be I probably would have thought like a couple of hundred. I made a huge mistake.
So after this horrible day (which there is more that sucked about this whole hat thing, but I just dont have the energy to type it all) we got home and the only good thing about HatLight is that we have raido gold to talk about it on the show (I know I havent mentioned anything about this, but Dan and I have a talk radio show on the internet...nothing big but please, if it peaks your interest then take a listen...go to talkradiox.com to get the details and there are links to things like my myspace and Dan's webpage etc, etc.)
So we start and Dan says to me, OMG, there is a pro wrestler who does a show on XM who wants to talk with us, so while we do our show we'll be on his program too. I'm like, okay...so this little shit keeps us on the phone with him from about 9:15pm until we have to say our computers crashing and have to hang up at like, 10:40pm. We finally get off the phone with this asshole and do a little research and find out he's a liar. Nothing he said was true and we were just duped into thinking this cool thing was hapening, but really, we were just being pranked. I dont know what I did (and this is my whining now, sorry, but every now and then I get really down) but karma is really giving it to me.

I'm so nervous. Dan has a job interview in a 1/2 hour. It's been the only call back he's got from about 50 resumes sent out.

Well, I won that Bally's fitness challenge. I lost 25lbs and 4% body fat...the other girls lost like, 9 lbs each and nothing close to the 20% they would have needed to lose to beat my total of 29 points. I think one girl lost like 9% which was impressive, but then again, only like 18 points for her. I got my free year at Bally's already, but as for the vacation, I dont think that will happen any time soon.
And now for the vally. Dan lost his job. I'm afraid to look back at my journal to see how many jobs Dan or I have lost in the time we've been together. I just dont know what we're going to do. It's doubtful that he will make the same or even close to the same amount of money that he was. I feel like crawling into the closet with the lights out and crying. When I feel like that though, I think of people who have had worst things then this. I feel guilty, but at least it puts my life into perspective. Sure we'll have a hard time, but we're alive and well (knock on wood!).
I know this cannot be, with my knowing mind, but with my, I dont care what you say side of my mind, I feel that the reason that bad stuff happens to us is because of how much I dislike Alexa's mother. I think that for someone to dislike someone so much and subconsciously wish bad things for (really, I try to not, I hate the fact that I dislike her, I've even tried to research how I could!) is so wrong. It's the reason we fall backwards all the time. It makes me depressed.
